Jordan Davis, MS, LPC, QMHP

Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fail.”  -Confucius

I am a South Dakota native, and I graduated from Huron High School in 2009 and I attended South Dakota State University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2016. I completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Addiction Specialization through Walden University in May of 2019. My professional journey as a mental health therapist started in the spring of 2019 serving rural South Dakota, and I completed my professional counseling license in August of 2020.

Before my counseling career I enjoyed coaching and strength training youth athletes which build the foundation for my counseling career, and I enjoy the process of helping children and adolescents develop new life-long skills and strategies to achieve their individualized goals. During my previous career I learned a valuable lesson that growth and change requires a team effort, and I take the philosophy to heart when providing services to my clients.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family, reading books, watching sporting events, prayer, guided meditation, and I take any excuse that I can to enjoy the outdoors.

My clinical experience includes a range of ages from 6 years-old throughout adulthood, and various mental health symptoms including anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, bipolar-like disorders, and identity development. Also, I have experience working directly with school districts to address issues related to bullying, educational deficits, life skills, Autism-like symptoms, and the impact mental health has on the educational goals of the student population.

Therapeutically I practice a holistic and integrated approach that incorporates several treatment modalities including Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Approach, Solution Focused Therapy, Hypnosis-Like Interventions, and Adlerian Therapy. My treatment approach includes the importance of addressing the mind, body, and soul, and how to guide my clients through various mental health symptoms and life challenges. Given that, I believe that one’s faith and desire to change provides the necessary foundation to grow and meet the life challenges caused by mental illness within the individual, community, and family systems. With that, my passion for mental health grows through the new challenges and experience that each client brings, and the optimism and perspective that through consistency and purposeful action brings lasting change.
