Heather Rorvick, MS, LPC-Supervisee

As a therapist, I aim to build an inclusive, nonjudgmental and welcoming environment to assist clients to feel safe exploring their goals to overall well-being. Although I aim to honor each individual with their unique needs for therapy, I typically work with adolescents and adults from a person-centered, trauma sensitive and solution focused based approach.
After graduating with my Bachelors of Psychology from Radford University in 2015, I provided day treatment counseling services for an inner city school district along with residential treatment services while living in Virginia. While attending graduate school with Capella University I also worked as a case manager for children and adults of all ages both in Virginia and in South Dakota. After graduating with my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021, I began working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse and human trafficking where I also received various trauma focused and advocacy based training.
In my spare time I enjoy volunteering and being involved with local organizations within the community, exploring nature, art, practicing yoga and have recently taken up welding as a new (albeit slightly terrifying) hobby to begin creating metal art.
