I grew up on a farm in Southern MN, where I met my husband. We moved to South Dakota for college and loved the area, so we stayed! We now live in rural Beresford, SD. I have one child, two dogs, four miniature donkeys, cows, and chickens.
After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in Social Work at the University of South Dakota in 2015, I started my mental health career working with many different diverse populations. I then graduated with my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Dakota in 2018 and became a License Clinical Social Worker. In January 2020, I received my Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification. I then obtained my License Clinical Social Work, Private Independent Practice (CSW-PIP) in 2021, while working for the Human Service Center (HSC) in Yankton, SD. While working for HSC I specialized in individual and family therapy with adolescents.
I have experience working in providing mental health therapy in outpatient, inpatient, school based and homebased settings.

I utilize many therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, client centered therapy, solution focused therapy, strengths-based approach, DBT skills training, and evidence-based practice to best connect and help my clients. I am credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Private Independent Practitioner, CSW-PIP, QMHP.
I’m not your typical therapist, I have a strong belief in freedom and helping others. I love being outdoors, spending time with family, and adventure. I enjoy riding motorcycle, kayaking, working on our farm, and being involved with the community. I absolutely love what I do and look forward to meeting you. My enthusiasm for helping others will make me a great fit for you!
